The team, known as Kinetic Ventures had the opportunity to able to apply their talents and knowledge in a real world business context, and learn skills and gain business insights that could not have been learnt in lecture rooms.
For us, well...
1. Extra pride
A huge number of student teams pitched to be able to work with us, attracted by the strength of the Grin and Tonic brand name, being part of something different, and being part of something that focused on helping people to feel more motivated, less stressed and reenergised. Of course, with our team of students who won the pitching process, we got the cream of the crop!!!
2. Extra heads
Our new 'Laugheteers' bought some fresh ideas into the business and because they are quite a bit younger than us (ahem!), they came with a different perspective.
3. Extra hands
In a small business, time and resource is of course limited. The team were able to spend time digging into further research on Laughter, target customer analysis, journalists in the health and motivation arena etc.
4. Extra learning
Our extended team are in the position of having gained the most up-to-date knowledge available through their studies, for example, new social media tools, technology, organic SEO techniques.
5. Extra fun
We engaged them in joining us in a Laughter session early on to experience the true value of Laughtercise first hand, and the team got right into it straight away, putting laughs into lap tops, putting on their giggle knickers and generally demonstrating enthusiasm. The group felt like part of the Grin and Tonic team and they were personable, enthusiastic and fun.
Nearing the end of their project, they showcased their work at the University. Here's the team in action!
